Charlie Foxtrot band

In the beginning there was Charlie Foxtrot...  Well, it sounded OK for a minute there.  The first incarnation of Charlie Foxtrot began in mid-2002.  We started with a nucleus of myself (Jan Depner), Henry Harrington, Jerry O'Rourke, and Alan Auter.  We then added a frontman/lead singer.  We played about three gigs before we started having personnel problems and put the project on hold.  Fast forward to New Years Eve 2005 when, thanks to a slightly paranoid frontman, Henry got fired from his then current band and Jerry walked out in protest.  We got together shortly thereafter and put Charlie Foxtrot back together with a new drummer and no frontman.  All of this leads us to the question - why Charlie Foxtrot?  For those of you in the military or closely related to the military the answer is obvious.  Charlie Foxtrot is an acronym using the military or NATO phonetic alphabet.  The acronym CF is closely related to a couple of other military acronyms - SNAFU and FUBAR.  The reason we called this band Charlie Foxtrot was that, almost without exception, every band we had been in had started as, or become, a Charlie Foxtrot (see examples above) so we decided to name this one properly from the start.  If you haven't yet got the gist of the term Charlie Foxtrot I suggest that you Google for it ;-)
