Live Sound

Over the years I've used a ton of PA equipment. I've finally found what I need for my band - Behringer XR18, Phenyx Pro PTU-6000-8H, Phenyx Pro PTM-33-4B, a Raspberry PI 4, a TP-Link Roam 6 AX1500 router, and a bluetooth receiver.

We mic or direct line everything into the XR18 mixer. As an adjunct to that, our guitarists, myself included, set up their amps facing backwards. This allows the guitarist to get enough volume to make them happy, makes getting controllable feedback easier, helps the other members of the band hear the guitars and, most importantly, allows me to control the front of house mix without having to try to balance the guitars from the stage. One of the coolest things about having everything come through the mixer is that it allows me to record everything to 16 separate tracks on the Raspberry Pi-4.
